Meeting Minutes | Charter and By Laws
Mission Statement:
“We are a collaboration of Villa parents, board members and
friends of the Villa Augustina School committed to furthering
the legacy of Catholic education in the spirit and charism of
the Religious of Jesus and Mary and St. Claudine Thevenet.”
Transition Team Chairperson: Carol J.
Barrett, C.P.A., Manchester
“I feel Villa Augustina is a second home for my children. It
is all the good a school should be. It is more than a wonderful
education. It is warmth, love and caring exuded by the RJM
sisters at the school. That gives this school its charisma. It
is really more than a school. It is a family. I look forward to
extending this family for generations to come.”
A Native of Springfield, Massachusetts who enjoyed the gift of
eleven years of Catholic education, Carol holds a Bachelors of
Science in Management Advisory Services from Southern New
Hampshire University. She is a Certified Public Accountant who
has over twenty years of professional experience, including
twelve years as Financial Director at Elliot Hospital. Currently
she is co-owner with her husband of Allegra Printing and also
serves as a Projects Analyst for the Elliot. Carol has been
associated with the Villa for nine years. She and her husband
Jeff have one daughter who graduated from the Villa in 2004
(Trinity High School, ’08) and two children who presently attend
the Villa (6th and 8th grade). Since becoming part of the Villa
community Carol has served as Home & School Treasurer, Home &
School Secretary, Volunteer Coordinator and on the Finance
Committee of the school (non-board member).
Meoghan Cronin, Ph.D., Goffstown
“Saint Claudine once worried that she was engaged in ‘a
foolish enterprise’ with no hope of success. When we get
discouraged in this present challenge, let’s remember how well
the Villa teaches what we emphasize at home: study hard, care
for others, and do the right thing. At the Villa, children learn
how to find their best selves and see the good in others.
Keeping the Villa alive is no ‘foolish enterprise.’ Every time
the Villa’s bell rings, our children are getting their wings.
Let’s pull together to keep that bell ringing!”
A native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Meoghan Cronin graduated
from Villanova University and then earned her Ph.D. at the
University of Delaware. She has been a professor in the Saint
Anselm English Department since 1993, specializing in Victorian
Literature and directing the College’s Freshman Composition
program. A well published scholar and accomplished teacher, she
received Outstanding Faculty Member Award, sponsored by the
Saint Anselm College Student Government Association in 2002 and
in 2006 was awarded the New Hampshire Excellence in Education
award (Ed-ie) for Higher Education. Meoghan has served on
innumerable committees at Saint Anselm, including several
leadership positions. She and her husband Mark (an Assistant
Dean at Saint Anselm) currently have two children at the Villa
(grades 6 and 3).
Denise Jobe, J.D., Deering
"Throughout the school day, the Villa
reinforces the values and morals my husband and I teach our
children at home. Because of this, they feel comfortable and
confident in their faith. I believe this confidence will give
them the tools to make difficult decisions and life choices as
they grow into adulthood."
Denise has been a member of the Villa
community for seven years and has been a board member for 3 of
the 7. Denise served as Home & School President for one of those
years. She has two daughters who have graduated from the Villa
and are attending Bishop Brady High School. A third daughter is
currently at the Villa in grade 4. Denise completed her Law
Degree at Franklin Pierce Law School where she wrote an award
winning article on the implication of a view tax assessment on
property taxes in New Hampshire. She passed the New Hampshire
Bar Exam this past summer. She currently is in practice in
partnership with her father in Hillsborough, New Hampshire.
Greg Tracey, D.D., Goffstown
“My hope is that my kindergartner and my third grader
graduate from the Villa, and that some day their children can
also be graduates.”
A native of Goffstown, Dr. Greg Tracey graduated from Goffstown
High School, The University of New Hampshire and Tufts School of
Medicine. He spent five years of service in the United States

Goffstown Historical Society. His step children attended the
Villa Augustina in the 1980s and two children presently attend
(kindergarten and 3rd grade). Greg’s wife currently works as an
aid at the Villa.
